Machine Service.

Angel Oak Stitchery is an authorized BERNINA dealer with Certified BERNINA technicians.

We work on a first in, first out basis. We understand what your Bernina means to you and work hard to keep you happy. Turn around times vary depending upon the number of machines to be serviced and the kind of repairs needed on the machine ahead of yours. Because it is difficult to guess how long repairs ahead of you are going to take, we do not set appointments for service.

Please bring ONLY the following when having normal periodic service on your machine:
– Machine with zig zag stitch plate on
– Power Cord
– Foot Control
– #1 foot
– Bobbin case and bobbin

If you are having your embroidery module serviced, we need your hoop, embroidery foot. and embroidery bobbin case if your machine uses a separate bobbin case.
If your machine is having “problems”, please bring the following:
– Samples of what the machine is doing wrong
– The exact top thread, bobbin thread, fabric, needle, etc. that you were using when the problem happened.
– Any parts pertinent to the technique you are having an issue with (buttonhole foot, walking foot, embroidery hoop and module)

Many times a problem with your sewing machine is something simple and we might be able to help you over the phone. Please call us at  (843) 462-7140

NOTE: We will clean, oil, and adjust other brands of machines in addition to BERNINA machines. Any repair or warranty work necessary on machines other than Bernina must be accomplished at a dealer. We do service machines that were not purchased from us except for multi-needle machines.

Every machine has a lifespan and as with anything mechanical, there comes a time when we have to accept that it is time to retire our loved BERNINA machine. BERNINA machines have a 20 year limited parts warranty and many of the first American BERNINA machines are approaching twice this age (some are 30 and 40 years old). Many of the parts inside are becoming delicate and the warehouse is running out of some spare parts. It is possible that even during a routine service a part could accidentally be broken without a replacement available.
