Sashiko Class - Hana Fukin



A hana fukin is generally made by stitching two pieces of cloth together. They were used as dish cloths, dusters, and wrapping cloths along with many other uses. This class will teach how to make a hana fukin all by hand and different samples of designs will be discussed. Fabric to be used along with thread will be purchased the day of class.

Requirements: Sashiko Sampler with dotted grid along with thread for project can be purchased day of class. There are 3 different colors of sampler to choose from, Sashiko Needles or Chenille Needle #22 or #24, Ruler - 6" x 12", Snips, Needle threader for large eye needles, Palm thimble - optional Fabric marking pencil can be helpful
